Dr. Hj Sugimoto Inspiring a Wave of Dawah in Japan!
Japan is known for its discipline, technology and progress. Yet behind the bright lights and quiet streets, thousands of people carry a heavy emptiness.
For those who discover Islam, the struggle is even greater. New Muslims and reverts often stand alone.
They have no teacher to guide them. No safe space to gather, no access to proper Islamic knowledge in their own.

Why His Dawah Matters So Deeply
Amidst this struggle, one man has quietly dedicated his life to helping them. His name is Dr. Haji Sugimoto.
For the past nine years, he has served as a full-time dāʿī in Japan.
With nothing but sincerity and perseverance, he has become a father to the reverts, a teacher to the seekers and a companion to the lonely.

He has conducted more than 4,500 online classes and public talks in mosques, community centres and universities across Japan.

The Vision We Build Together
Together with MyFundAction, Dr. Sugimoto has launched programs that touch lives across different layers of Japanese society—from students to professionals:
Cultural Festivals that introduce Islam through art and tradition
Halal Food Exhibitions to spark curiosity and conversations
Qur’an Classes for those eager to learn the words of Allah
Fardhu Ain & Tauhid Classes for deeper understanding of faith
Youth & Cultural Development Centers to nurture the next generation of leaders
Da’ie Training Classes to prepare more voices of dawah across Japan
These efforts are not just about teaching. They are about building a family, a safe space, and a sense of belonging for Japanese reverts who are often alone in their new journey.

Every new Muslim in Japan is like a newborn soul searching for guidance. Without teachers, mentors, and resources, many risk feeling lost. But with your support, we can provide them with the tools to flourish as Muslims in their homeland.
